Role Overview
The Cyber Prevention Engineer in Operational Technology Security is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining procedures, standards, and controls to safeguard manufacturing environments against cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish standards for new equipment, perform risk assessments, and integrate hardware/software into secure networks.
- Create and maintain training materials specific to Operational Technology security.
- Develop, implement, and audit policies and procedures related to OT security.
- Set standards for physical and logical access control to equipment and systems.
- Support the creation and maintenance of technical standards for OT equipment and networks.
- Establish risk metrics, perform assessments, and generate visibility reports on OT security risks.
- Research industry benchmarks and recommend improvements to internal security practices.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Networking, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- 0-2 years of experience with control networks or industrial control systems; basic cybersecurity knowledge.
- Knowledge of industrial cybersecurity principles.
- Effective communication skills and business acumen in technical environments.
Working Conditions
- Flexible work hours and schedule, with occasional travel and short-term assignments at other sites.
- Potential for weekend and holiday work, with minimal overtime.
